QUICK GUIDE: Unpack into your mod-ready installation of SS2. Or change the file extension to .SS2MOD to use with the SS2 Modmanager.

This is Deep Fried Beer's third update on his weapon sound mod giving you beefier sounds on most weapons. (As discussed on TTLG.)
The Assault Rifle sound has been fixed by miracle.freak.

Love the Pistol sounds. Not very fond of the other weapon sounds, though...
I removed the other sounds from \snd\weapons, and just kept the pistol sounds.

Hey, so whenever I try and download the mod I get an error just after I pass 1.58 megs on the download. I have been digging all over the internet for a copy, even finding a working torrent has failed. So, I ask could someone verify the link for the download, or send me a copy, or just simply advise me on the error which states:

"Internet Explorer cannot download ...edBeer_SoundUpgrade_V3.zip from www.strangebedfellows.de.

Content Decoding has failed"
                                                                                      [OK]

Thank you for your help,

Say, did DFB ever correct the assault rifle firing sounds so they don't cut out when you're firing full auto? I downloaded a version of this ages ago and had to fix it myself. Been using it ever since!

Eh, good point, I had to fix it too. The sound of Assault Rifle can not exceed 600 miliseconds otherwise it would cause sound pauses while firing full auto. The armor piercing bullets have this issue I think. I had to cut sound exceeding 500 miliseconds and make a fadeout at the end of what's left.

I guess there's no fixed version of this anywhere so if anyone's interested I can upload it.

Your problem is not related to this mod. It merely replaces a few sound files. There's no way it could mute other sounds.
Try setting the Positional Sound Bias slider in the audio options to the middle of the scale.

You didn't make your game mod-ready before installing the mod.  As such, the folder with the replacement files is fully overriding all default snd resources.

Use The SS2 Tool to make your game mod-ready before installing any mods.
